Stephanie and Jason met while attending the College of Charleston, where he was living with a high school friend of hers. After almost seven years together, Jason surprised Stephanie with a trip to San Diego. On the last day of the trip they went to breakfast and then to Swami’s botanical garden that overlooks Swami’s beach, which was Stephanie’s favorite spot when they had previously visited. It was here Jason got down on one knee and proposed. The ceremony was held at the bluff at Wachesaw Plantation in Murrells Inlet. The pair loves the ocean and surfing, which they used as the inspiration for their big day. There were lots of blues and natural colors and plenty of greenery. The ceremony site overlooked the river, with Spanish moss and live oaks giving off a beautiful Lowcountry vibe. Instead of a traditional altar, the couple opted for a creative floral horseshoe. Stephanie and Jason live in Charleston and plan to travel as much as possible before starting a family of their own.
