Lacy Purvis & Kyle Jackson

Lacy and Kyle met at a Halloween party and started dating in December. Shortly after, Kyle left for basic training with the National Guard. Lacy wrote to him every day since it was the only way the two could communicate. After basic, Kyle had additional training in Augusta, Georgia. Lacy visited on weekends and the two got closer and the relationship grew stronger. After three and half years together, Kyle woke Lacy up at 6 a.m. and said to get dressed and packed because they were going away. They ended up in Hendersonville, North Carolina, at a beautiful vineyard. They were supposed to take a tour, but instead Kyle insisted on walking over to “take pictures of the vineyards,” which had Lacy confused. When they walked over to a special spot, Kyle got down on one knee and proposed. They enjoyed the rest of their day at the vineyard and headed into Asheville for the night. The ceremony was held at Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club and featured lots of greenery, gold and ivory. Lacy wanted an elegant yet Southern feel for their big day. The bride wore her grandmother’s cocktail ring and her bouquet wrap was made out of her grandmother’s wedding gown and veil with a picture of her grandfather as the bouquet charm. Gold mirrors were displayed throughout with menus and special sayings. The couple lives in Florence.
