The couple met in elementary school and became best friends in sixth grade. They made a promise to each other that they would attend their senior prom together no matter what. They stayed best friends throughout high school and started dating their senior year. Wednesday nights had become dedicated dinner nights for the pair. It was at one of these dinners that Cameron told Wilson how much she loved him. He felt the exact same way. They fulfilled their promise of attending the prom and were crowned king and queen. Wilson proposed on Christmas Day. After eating lunch with her family, they were looking for an open grocery store to get a few items for their families’ Christmas gathering. Since it seemed unsuccessful, Wilson suggested stopping by the beach access they visited many times in high school. Before leaving the beach, he asked her if she got everything she wanted for Christmas. When she turned around, he was down on one knee. The ceremony will be held in March at First United Methodist Church followed by a reception at Pine Lakes.
