Clarissa Pendarvis Weathers & David Tutt Hightower

Clarissa and Tutt went to the same high school in Tennessee but did not know each other at the time since he was five years older. They officially met through mutual friends in 2015 at a music festival and have been together ever since. After six months of dating, Tutt proposed on the 4th hole (Flowering Crabapple) of Augusta National Golf Course, which is one of Clarissa’s favorite places. The ceremony was held at The Heritage Club in Pawleys Island, a destination wedding for 140 friends and family. The pair was married right before sunset under a huge oak tree on the creek’s edge. Elegantly simple, the natural beauty of the venue was enhanced by white flowers and greenery. A few special touches included Clarissa’s rose gold wedding band, which belonged to her great-great grandmother she is named after, and the bride’s uncle acting as officiant. There were lanterns in the oak tree, beautiful white chairs decorated with magnolia leaves and a delicious three-tier spice cake with fresh flowers. The couple lives in Franklin, Tennessee.
