If a quick nutrition fix is what you’re after, consider a smoothie. With a base of antioxidant-rich organic fruit, smoothies are an excellent source of protein, vitamins and minerals that help with immune boosting and anti-aging, says Bay Naturals owner Angela Holmes.

Here are a few of Bay Naturals’ metabolism-revving recipes. The Second Wind gives that extra boost of energy, the Blueberry Almond Tart is rich and refreshing and the creamy Chocolate Chiller quenches that craving.

Blueberry Almond Tart

Ingredients 

10 ounces almond milk
1 frozen organic banana
3 ounces frozen organic blueberries
3 ounces almond butter
2 ounces Vanilla Spriru-Tein protein powder

Directions 

Combine all ingredients in a blender jar (liquids first); process until smooth.


Chocolate Chiller

“Protein Energy”

Ingredients 

10 ounces dairy or non-dairy milk
1 frozen organic banana
4 ounces dairy-free chocolate ice cream
1 ounce chocolate syrup
2 ounces Chocolate Spriru-Tein protein powder
1 ounce nut butter (optional)

Directions 

Combine all ingredients in a blender jar (liquids first); process until smooth.


Second Wind

“Energy Enhancer”
 

Ingredients 

10 ounces non-dairy milk or apple juice
2 ounces frozen organic blueberries
2 ounces frozen organic pineapple
2 ounces frozen organic strawberries
1 frozen organic banana
2 ounces Vanilla Spriru-Tein protein powder
1/4 teaspoon liquid Vitamin B
1 teaspoon Buried Treasure Liquid Multi Minerals, VM100 Complete
10 drops liquid ginseng

Directions 

Combine all ingredients in a blender jar (liquids first); process until smooth.
