Gee’s Bend: From Quilts to Prints

This exhibit examines the work of four well-known quiltmakers based in Gee’s Bend, Alabama, and their recent exploration into the art of making prints. These quilts have been the subject of national critical acclaim, even making their way on to a set of American Treasures postage stamps. The exhibition includes objects ranging from 1960s work-clothes quilts of denim to “New Generation” quilts. Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, 3100 S.
